Best Scooby Doo Characters

Ruh-roh! Looks like you've stumbled upon a mystery of your own: figuring out who the top dog (or human) is in the Scooby-Doo gang. You know the deal - Scooby-Doo is all about those meddling kids and their talking Great Dane who always manage to uncover the truth behind spooky shenanigans. But which of these characters truly stands out in this animated media franchise where a group of teenagers solve mysteries involving supernatural threats, which are usually the work of a disguised person?
The Top Ten
1 Shaggy Rogers Norville "Shaggy" Rogers is a fictional character in the Scooby-Doo franchise. He is a cowardly slacker and the long-time best friend and owner of his cowardly Great Dane Scooby-Doo.

I have always loved Shaggy. I can relate to his love of food, and I love watching his relationship with Scooby-Doo.

Any character that can beat Thanos using 10% of their power daily puts them in the upper echelon of anime heroes.

Shaggy is the funniest character. Scooby is lovable, and the rest of the gang is smart, but Shaggy is the goofiest and the best.

2 Scooby Doo Scooby Doo is a famous fictional dog character from the show Scooby-Doo Where Are You? He is the protagonist of his series .

He was my favorite cartoon character since the day I was born.

I like Scooby-Doo because he is a dog, and my favorite animal is a dog. I also called my dog Scooby.

Scooby and Shaggy should totally be counted as one because they go so well together and are the two best characters in the show.

The show's named after him for a reason. He was the face of the series and hands-down the best character.

3 Daphne Blake Daphne Ann Blake is a fictional character in the long-running American animated series Scooby-Doo. Daphne, depicted as coming from a wealthy family, is noted for her red hair, lavender heels, fashion sense, and her knack for getting into danger, hence the nickname "Danger Prone Daphne".

Daphne is not useless at all. For your information, she has used her makeup and other clothing tools to get the gang out of traps and problems. Look up Roller Ghoster from What's New Scooby-Doo and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed and see what I mean.

She's a lot more now than the hot girl who is always in trouble. She uses her knowledge and everyday possessions to save her friends from tight spots.

4 Fred Jones Jr. Frederick Herman "Fred" Jones is a fictional character in the American animated series Scooby-Doo, about a quartet of teenage mystery solvers and their Great Dane companion, Scooby-Doo.

He is apparently the only character with a driver's license. Without him, there would be no Mystery Machine, no traveling around to find monsters, and no Mystery Inc. Fred is the only character that is absolutely required for a functioning gang.

Of course, I love Scooby, but Fred is such a great leader.

He's got a cool mascot. End of story.

5 Velma Dinkley Velma Dinkley is a fictional character in the Scooby-Doo franchise. She is usually seen wearing a baggy orange turtleneck, short red pleated skirt, knee socks, Mary Janes, and most prominently, a pair of square glasses, which she frequently loses.

I think she's the most relatable out of the bunch. While the rest are messing around and stuff, she's actually doing most of the work to solve the crime.

"Where are my glasses? I can't see without my glasses!" She's so funny, cool, and smart. How is Shaggy at the top?

Scooby and Shaggy are number one in my head. So, since they have the top two spots, I will vote for Velma. I want Velma to be number 3.

6 Scrappy Doo Scrappy Doo is the nephew of Scooby Doo. Unlike his uncle Scooby, Scrappy is brave enough to face the monsters.

I can never forgive James Gunn for what he did to Scrappy. I liked him, and when the '80s came, he became much different. He was funny, always had energy, was pretty much the opposite of his uncle Scooby, and I always felt that bond between them. I never had a problem with him, always thought he was cool, and didn't understand why he just disappeared from the show entirely (until I saw the movie and internet discussions). I think the hate for him is very overblown.

I actually like Scrappy. He is one of my favorite characters because of his bond with his Uncle Scooby. Of course, Scooby will always be number one, but can't Scrappy get some more respect, please?

7 Scooby-Dum
8 The Creeper

He's really cool. And Minecraft.

9 Vincent Van Ghoul

A cool character added to the franchise.

10 The Ghost Clown
The Contenders
11 The Witch Doctor

When I was a little kid, he was the only one who really scared me.

12 Scooby-Dee
13 Yabba-Doo
14 Phantasma
15 Mayor Jones
16 Charlie the Robot
17 Miner Forty-Niner

He's really cool and one of the original masked monsters from Scooby-Doo: Where Are You?

18 Thorn

Where are the other Hex Girls? We need all of them on this list. 1. Thorn 2. Dusk 3. Luna. The last two can be interchangeable.

19 Baylor Hotner
20 Sibella

Sibella was in Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School. She was revealed to be a real monster and not someone in a costume. A criminally underrated character.

21 Tanis
22 Scrappy Rex
23 Professor Pericles

No doubt this show's most frightening villain. He wasn't just some guy/gal in a suit trying to rob a bank. He was a cunning supervillain trying to release an ancient evil on the world. I was always nervous about what he would do when he was on screen.

Hands down the creepiest character in the Scooby-Doo universe. He is one of the only villains that pose a real threat to the gang and always grabs my attention when he's on screen.

24 Cassidy Williams

I love her-she is so cool and smart!

I like her character she is the only one of her friends with enough brains to try to save the world

25 Luna
